J Day Engineering - in the beginning
J Day Engineering was formed in 1999 by James Day. As a lad James had grown up playing with motor cars and even before he had his driving licence he was buying and selling them. J Day Engineering started life with James buying, selling, repairing and modifying the seminal hatch of the eighties and nineties, the Peugeot 205. This love affair quickly flourished and J Day Engineering now specialize in cars and vans. The business has really grown over the last 10 years, but still has the friendly atmosphere of a family owned business.

Peugeot 205s have long been the core of our business. The 205 GTi in particular. This is a car that has excited the motoring press and drivers alike for almost 20 years. Peugeot is now one of the most profitable motor manufacturers out there. It's not hard to see why. Solid, reliable and dependable their products certainly are. They are also exceptionally fun to drive. From the 205 GTi to the 106 Rallye, to the 306 GTi6, these are cars that real drivers appreciate. We do too.
The New Workshop
Located in rural Somerset in a purpose-built workshop crafted by the region's finest tradesmen on the periphery of Henstridge airfield, our workshop provides us with ample space to work on your cars. We have six two-post lifts, two-four post lifts, a latest specification MOT bay, full machining facilities, state of the art tyre fitting facilities, waiting room and reception area. Any job, no matter how small or large, is a pleasure to undertake.
